The best way to do so is to add an aftermarket rear anti-sway bar because it acts as a brace between the frame of your motorhome, and is constructed with higher-strength, thicker steel than OEM sway bars.

The Timbren brand is really popular because they've built a name for themselves and while they do work, a common theme we've discovered with them is that they are too stiff, especially when the tow vehicle is unloaded. We often joke that Timbrens will either fix your back problems or give you back problems.

With weight distribution hitches we actually don't include the weight of the hitch itself into the tongue weight on the hitch because it's leveraging the weight through the frame to distribute it to the front axle. It's best to stay under 80-85% of your towing capacity to give yourself a buffer so upgrading the tow vehicle to something with a higher capacity might be the safest option depending on how heavy the trailer is once fully loaded.

Hey MCM78LC (I don't think that's your real name haha), your best option is to take a closer look at the weight distribution system you are using as it most likely isn't rated high enough for what would be your "loaded tongue weight". When a WD system isn't rated high enough it basically is ineffective and what many don't know is that your loaded tongue weight is the tongue weight of the trailer when it is fully loaded and ready to go AND the cargo weight in the tow vehicle that is behind... view full answer...
